Petrofac Facilities Management, the leading service provider, has secured a contract to provide engineering and construction support services to Lundin Britain Limited’s Heather and Thistle facilities.

Lundin Britain, part of Lundin Petroleum, the Swedish independent oil and gas exploration and production company, assumed operatorship of the Heather and Thistle fields following the acquisition of DNO Britain earlier this year. The fields are located northeast of the Shetland Islands in the UK Sector of the Northern North Sea.

Commenting on the award, Paddy Mallan, Operations Support Director for Petrofac said, “As part of our facilities management capability, Petrofac currently designs, constructs and implements asset modifications for our clients’ onshore and offshore facilities. Our unique operations-led approach to engineering adds value for our clients and we believe we are setting the standards for the industry. We are extremely pleased that Lundin has selected Petrofac to provide our distinctive Integrated Engineering service to their Heather and Thistle facilities.”
