The Chairman of Petroperu, Mr. Humberto Campodonico, opened two new tanks of 120,000 barrels each for storing cleaner fuel for supply to market South.

These tanks have geodesic dome ceilings type of aluminum, which allows the company to put its cutting edge technology and service use by major refineries in the world. They have been built according to the guidelines of API Standard 650, have a height and diameter of 15 and 40 meters, respectively. The project has been implemented by the Consortium DEMEM SA - MyC Pariñas SA

These new and modern facilities allow state oil increase by 240,000 barrels storage capacity of diesel low sulfur (ULSD) and facilitate meet the new requirement of supplying the fuel to Lima and south of the country, as indicates the Ministerial Resolution No. 139-2012 MEM / DM. When the diesel low sulfur concentration used, consistently improve air quality.

Thus, Petroperu takes another step on the path to collaborate to reduce environmental pollution, one of the main objectives of the modernization of Talara refinery, which will begin this year. While we continue to renew their infrastructure and technology in order to provide better service to the development of Peru.

The ceremony -in which the 39th anniversary of Refinery Conchán- attended by Ing. Pedro Méndez Milla, General Manager of Petroperu, Monsignor Carlos García, Bishop of Lurin, Eng. Gerardo Castillo León, Operations Manager also marked Conchán as well as officials and members of the surrounding communities.
