On 22 May 2008, the Ministry of Investment and Planning issued the foreign investment license to PTSC's FPSO Ruby II investing project. This is PTSC's joint-venture project with Malaysian partner MISC to invest FPSO Ruby II in place of FPSO Ruby Princess for PCVL in 2009.

Presently, the corporation is proceeding cooperations with MISC to implement the project at further phases.

Meanwhile, PTSC still maintains the management and exploitation of FPSO Ruby Princess floating port, keeping its stable operational schedule to meet the demand of Petronas.

Besides, PTSC is also considering and preparing to exchange views with petroleum contractors in order to get involved in the implementation of such projects as Providing FSO for Orkid/ Pakma Fields (TML), Providing FPSO for Premier Oil at Blackbird & Coconut Fields, Block 12, Providing FPSO for Thang Long JOC White Sealion and Black Sealion Mine, Block 15-2/01 offshore Vietnam…
