Aibel Thailand has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 10 million for the procurement and construction of five topside modules for Prosafe Production Services Pte Ltd, for the Cidade De Sao Mateus vessel, a Petrobras Gas floating production unit (FPSO). The project consists of two 820 ton manifold modules (M26 A&B), a 365 ton gas export module (M23), a 215 ton heating medium equipment module (M55) and a 190 ton chemical injection module (M34). Aibel will be responsible for the bulk procurement and construction and possibly loadout and transportation.

R. Rasmus Sunde, Aibel’s president and CEO comments: “This is an interesting project which gives us another excellent opportunity to showcase the strengths of our Thai facilities.” Jim Ryan, Aibel’s country manager for Thailand adds: “It is also a project that should stand us in good stead for future upcoming projects of this nature.”

The cutting of steel has already started with delivery of the modules due by April/May 2008. The project is on schedule and on budget.
