On June 30, public works and atmospheric pressure distilling apparatus of reconstruction and expansion project for oil refining with annual output of 5 million tons of Ningxia Petrochemical Corporation, the key project of the group companies was successfully handed over half-completely in the middle of the project. Yong Ruisheng, general manager of Ningxia Petrochemical Corporation commented: “it creates a new record in the history of oil refinery construction ”.

From the commencement of underground pipeline laying to now, it took one and a half years for the public works of this project to fulfill significant node goal; the installation of atmospheric pressure devices were carried out at the end of last May. Through one year’s hard work of the constructors, they were finally handed over half-completely in the middle of the project. Therefore, as the general contracting unit of the first domestic factorial EPC project of CNPC, the company and Ningxia Petrochemical Corporation held a grand ceremony at the construction site.

By June 30, 14 units of the oil refining reconstruction and expansion project, including the installation of main devices such as atmospheric devices, MTBE, gas separating devices and three-combination devices and public utilities such as power station and air separation and compression stations had been completed according to the design; pressure test of process pipeline and power conduit had been completed; strength test and non-destructive examination of the static equipment had been finished; the single commissioning of each mobile equipment was up to standard and so was the debugging of electric apparatus and instrumentation; temporary facilities of construction had been dismantled; construction of vertical project, corrosion resistance and heat insulation had been completed; the design alteration and tail project construction which had influenced the linkage commissioning had been treated appropriately and responsibility assignment and ratification time of other incomplete projects had been determined and the construction site had been cleaned.

The construction of the largest quantities was the atmospheric pressure devices and a whole year has passed since the installation on June 28, 2010. Chen Peijian, the general manager of the Project Department of Ningxia Petrochemical Corporation said, that in the follow-up rectification and pre-commissioning work when coordinating with the proprietor, the Project Department will link the design, purchase and construction in an organized way and actively coordinate with the proprietors to achieve the one-time success of power-on of each unit in strict accordance with the requirements ensuring that the device can be operated comprehensively on October 30 and making the CNPC and people in the Ningxia Autonomous Region satisfied with our work”.
