The Murphy Sarawak Gas Development consists of seven marginal fields occupying blocks SK309 and SK311 off the coast of Bintulu, Malaysia. Phase 1 of this project will see the development of three out of seven fields, Golok, Serampang and Merahpuh. As a major milestone Ranhill-WorleyParsons has just completed the conceptual design package

The facilities designed by the RWP team include four production platforms, seven satellite platforms and one riser platform, all connected by a network of over 300 km of subsea pipelines, with a total output of 300MMscfd of gas and 2500 bbl/d of condensate. Given the low reservoir yields expected, the project team applied a creative back to basics approach to ensure the overall development viability was maintained.

Upon delivering this FEED package, RWP strengthens its position as the Number 1 engineering service provider for fixed offshore platforms in the region, and an industry leader in marginal field solutions.
