With an investment of S /. 12.5 million, our refinery Conchán, continuing its modern processing units, launching a project: Equipment Replacement and Performance Improvement Process Units, with the participation of professionals and Peruvian companies, which makes the value of that investment is lower compared to what would be a turnkey, with bidders in the foreign service.

There are two major proposed projects start Modernization and include: Replacing the main column Topping Unit and cooling system replacement gas from the top of the same column.

One of them is already running, as is the project that aims to replace the current column C-1 of its Primary Distillation Unit whose operating cycle is by cumplirse- by a new distillation column with latest technology and capacity processing 15 000 500 bpd.

The design of the new column, taking as a reference our Refinery Iquitos, was conducted by a team with experience in process engineering, civil and mechanical, led by the Technical Operations Department Conchán. Mechanical designs have been delineated under the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section VIII Div. 1, stamped ASME "U" fabrication of pressure vessels.

Manufacturing, to date, showing an increase of 44% and an end to February 2012. The estimated manufacturing jobs that new column is made in the workshops of national mechanical metal company FIMA SA, the same as in the 2009 was responsible for the construction of new furnaces with that since March 2010, has been operating our Conchán Refinery.

Is expected commissioning the new column in the second quarter of 2011.

A second major project in the process of improving refinery Conchán is the replacement will be done the old system cooling gases and vapors leaving the top of the Column Distillation Unit Primary by a new one with head plates carbon steel coated tubes and Monel Monel is an alloy of nickel and copper whose thermal conductivity is very significant and highly resistant to corrosion, allowing for increased uptime of equipment.

The new aérorefrigerante let you get better cooling with lower energy consumption and handle an efficiency of 85%.
