A consortium of PT Tripatra Engineers & Constructors (“Tripatra”), a subsidiary of PT Indika Energy Tbk (“Indika Energy”), and Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Samsung”) was awarded a contract from Mobil Cepu Ltd., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corporation, contractor for the Indonesian Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPMIGAS) for Cepu Block, PT Pertamina EP Cepu, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), and the Cepu Block Cooperation Body (BKS) for the development of the Banyu Urip Project EPC 1 Production Processing Facilities located near Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia.

The official signing ceremony was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Attending the ceremony were: senior representatives from BPMIGAS, PT Pertamina EP Cepu, Mobil Cepu Ltd., Cepu Block Cooperation Body (BKS), and also President Director of Tripatra, Steven Budisusetija; and President & CEO of Samsung Engineering, Park Ki-Seok.

CEO of Samsung Engineering Park Ki-Seok said, “This historic project will be a great opportunity for Samsung Engineering and our trusted partner Tripatra to combine both parties’ strengths to deliver a quality project on schedule for our esteemed client and will contribute to Indonesia’s need for oil production.”

At the signing ceremony, President Director of Tripatra Steven Budisusetija stated, “We are proud and honored to support BPMIGAS, PT Pertamina EP Cepu, Mobil Cepu Ltd. and Cepu Block Cooperation Body (BKS), This contract is another milestone of a successful relationship between Tripatra and ExxonMobil which was started in 1993”.

Tripatra and Samsung Engineering will complete engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning on a lump-sum basis with the project to be completed 36 months after contract award.
