The 10 million ton/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, the key part of Sinopec Maoming Company’s refining upgrading, produced qualified products at 15:00 hours December 15, making Maoming Company the third refinery with over 20 million tons/year crude oil processing capacity in China after Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company and Dalian Petrochemical Company. The oil quality upgrading project is a key project for the technological transformation in China’s petrochemical industry listed in the national “Plan on Restructuring and Revitalization of the Petrochemical Industry”. It is also a key project of Sinopec Group and one of the “ten new major projects” of Guangdong Province.
