SLP Engineering, a member of the Smulders Group, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a significant new contract by Nexen Petroleum UK Limited and co-venturers for a 140 man accommodation module for their Golden Eagle Area Development Project.

The EPC contract will be executed from SLP’s Lowestoft facility with work commencing immediately to achieve a completion and sail-away on 1st May 2014.

Paul Thomson, SLP’s MD, said that the multi million pound contract was won against UK and International competition. “We are delighted to be part of the Golden Eagle Project which is one of the most exciting developments to come from the North Sea this decade. SLP is well and truly back in business and this contract alone will provide many local jobs for the next 30 months.”
