Statoil has awarded Aibel a modification contract for the Snorre A and Snorre B platform. The value of the contract is approximately MNOK 400.

The scope of the contract is engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of major modification work on the Snorre platforms related to Snorre Export and Robustness.

'We are grateful for the confidence Statoil has shown us by awarding this contract to Aibel, says Jan Skogseth, President & CEO of Aibel. Our focus will, as always on complex projects like this, be on HSE and good project execution, in close cooperation with our client.'

The contract has a relative long duration, with start up of engineering immediately and commencement of offshore work in February 2011. The project duration will be of a period of approximately three (3) years, conducted in parallel with full operations on the platform. The project will be executed out of Haugesund.
