Subsea 7 S.A. (Oslo Børs: SUBC) today announced a contract award by Anadarko and their partners for the Heidelberg development in the Gulf of Mexico.

The work scope includes the engineering, fabrication, and installation of risers, pipelines, and flowlines in water depths over 1,600 metres. Project management and engineering will commence immediately at Subsea 7’s offices in Houston. Offshore operations are due to commence in the fourth quarter 2014, with pipelay activities being performed by the Seven Borealis.

Ian Cobban, Subsea 7’s Vice President Gulf of Mexico, said “We are pleased to be awarded this contract by Anadarko, and look forward to executing this challenging project in a safe and timely manner.”
