The deck for the Bayu Undan Drilling Production Platform (DPP) was loaded onto the Blue Marlin heavy lift vessel at the fabrication yard in Ulsan, Korea, on Thursday 31st July.

The DPP is one of two platforms in the central production complex, along with the Compression, Utilities and Quarters (CUQ) platform that was installed last month. The development also includes an unmanned wellhead platform and a Floating, Storage and Offloading vessel (FSO).

The DPP deck will be installed by the floatover method, at 14,000 tonnes, making it the world's second largest open-water floatover.

Sail-away is planned for 15 August, with installation to be completed by 28 August 2003. Congratulations to the Worley team, which as part of the TIGA joint venture has achieved 100% mechanical completion prior to sailaway.
