June 2009 – ENI S.p.A. successfully completed the startup of its new hydrocracker at its refinery in Sannazzaro, Italy. The hydrocracker employs Chevron
Lummus Global (CLG) ISOCRACKING technology and catalysts, converting 27,500 barrels per day of vacuum gas oil into high quality fuels, meeting the most stringent European specifications.

The unit was designed for high conversion using CLG’s state-of-the-art two-stage ISOCRACKING process technology, and achieves maximum yields of premium quality diesel and kerosene. It also gives the Sannazzaro refinery more flexibility and further improves operational efficiency and long term profitability.
