SILVERSTONE ENERGY LIMITED HAS SUBMITTED, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, a draft Decommissioning Programme for the Tristan NW Field, in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals. Tristan NW is a small gas field in Block 49/29b of the UKCS, 76 km from the coast of Norfolk. It is tied back to the Davy platform in Block 49/30d. The facilities covered by the Decommissioning Programme are: a production well and previously suspended development well, a 15.5 km 6" pipeline and piggy-backed 4" umbilical (95% of which is trenched), a valve assembly and associated protective mattresses and pipework.
