A new interconnect between Vector Pipeline L.P. and Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation's Crossroads Pipeline at Wheeler in Porter County, Indiana, is now in-service and offers natural gas customers in the Northern Indiana and Toledo, Ohio, areas additional access to natural gas supplies at the Chicago Hub. Columbia Gas Transmission is a NiSource Inc. operating company.

"This interconnect continues our planned expansion of access to this important market. It benefits both Vector's and Crossroads' existing and future shippers" said Craig R. Fishbeck, Vector President. "In addition, Crossroads customers now have access to
storage in southeastern Michigan and southwestern Ontario." With a design capacity of 100 MMSCF/D, the Wheeler facilities interconnect two high-pressure transmission systems that traverse the central Midwest United States.

"The new interconnect benefits our customers by expanding their supply choices," said David Pentzien, vice president of Marketing for Columbia Gas Transmission and Crossroads Pipeline. "Moreover, we look forward to developing additional opportunities with this new Midwest pipeline."

The 42-inch Vector Pipeline transports Western Canadian natural gas from the Chicago market hub in Joliet, Illinois, to the hub at Dawn, Ontario, providing access to markets and storage in the upper Midwest and eastern Canada.

Vector Pipeline is a partnership of Calgary-based Enbridge Inc. (NYSE/TSE: ENB), with a 45 percent interest; Duke Energy Corporation (NYSE: DUK) of Charlotte, NC, with a 30 percent interest; and Detroit-based DTE Energy Company. (NYSE: DTE) with a 25 percent interest. Information about Vector is available on the web at www.vector-pipeline.com.
