Gazprom Neft's Ravninnoye oil field located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District has been efficiently brought into commercial production, Gazprom Neft reports. The third quarter of 2010 demonstrated a 2.6 times growth of the field production as compared with the three preceding months. The 2010 production plan exceeds 88 thousand tons.

Gazprom Neft intensified its activities at the Ravninnoye field earlier this year. Six operating wells have been drilled in the vicinity of two exploration wells, and another eight operating wells are scheduled for drilling by the year end. The pilot project provides for drilling of altogether fifty operating wells.

Peak oil production at the Ravninnoye field is expected to exceed 675 thousand tons per year.

The Ravninnoye field's oil reserves are estimated at over 28 mln tons (ABC1+C2 Categories).
