Hainan liquefied natural gas (LNG) project on July 7, through the National Development and Reform Commission meeting, by the National Development and Reform Commission was officially approved. 　　

Hainan CNOOC Gas & Power LNG Project Central Group Co., Ltd. and Hainan Development Holdings Limited joint venture set up by CNOOC Hainan Natural Gas Co., Ltd. is responsible for its construction and operation management.

Project company was incorporated in December 18, 2005 in Hainan Yangpu Economic Development Zone and headquartered in Haikou; partners each project's shares more than 65% and 35%. 　　

Hainan LNG project a design capacity of 2 million tons / year, the construction of two 16 Articles tanks, put into operation in 2014, 2016, in full production.

Hainan LNG project will be based on the construction of the largest LNG storage and transshipment centers of the station line integration; to achieve "a province, a network, multi-gas source, unbundling, the government approved the" strategic objective.
