CB&I (NYSE:CBI) announced today that it has been awarded contracts by Petron to supply sulfur recovery, tail gas treating and hydrogen plant technologies for the Bataan Refinery upgrading project (RMP-2) in the Philippines. CB&I's combined contracts, which are third quarter awards, are valued at approximately $40 million. The project is scheduled for completion in 2013.

The hydrogen plant will consist of two trains, each with the capacity to produce 126 metric tonnes per day of high purity hydrogen. The sulfur recovery and tail gas treating units will consist of five sulfur recovery trains, capable of processing a combined capacity of 526 metric tonnes per day of sulfur.
