Today in Volgograd, President of OAO "LUKOIL", Alekperov and First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov attended the ceremony the completion of a delayed coking unit at the Volgograd refinery.

The design capacity of the unit of raw material is about 1 million tons per year. Starting the facility will increase production of petroleum coke by 100 tons per year and output in this exploitation of two technologically obsolete delayed coker. In 2010, production of petroleum coke was about 180 thousand tons.

With the launch of the installation will also increase the production of components of motor fuels by 150 tons per year, which would increase the depth and effectiveness of oil refining at the Volgograd refinery.

Installation has a high reliability through the use of advanced technology industrial safety and environmental protection.

"Completion of the delayed coker is an important step in large-scale modernization of the plant, aimed at creating autofuels production", - said Alekperov. – "The next year there will be commissioned hydrotreatment of diesel fuels. But by 2017 the Volgograd refinery will be the most modern oil refineries in southern Russia. "
