The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the NOVATEK Management Committee. Taking part in the meeting was also Andrey Akimov, Chairman of the Gazprombank Management Board.

The meeting addressed the possibility for Gazprom and NOVATEK to deliver a joint project aimed at building up liquefied natural gas (LNG) capacities near the port of Sabetta and putting the Yamal Peninsula's northern fields into operation.

In addition, the parties considered the strategy for joint development and commissioning of new fields, taking into account the Gydan Peninsula's resource base to gradually substitute the declining Nadym-Pur-Taz region output.
