Perenco is pleased to announced that the drilling campaign in Gabon has resumed with the spudding this week of the Arfan-1 Exploration Well. The well is on the Falcon North Field of the Arouwe permit and is in open water 72 meters deep.

The projected total depth of the proposed vertical well is 2650 meters TVDSS. This will be sufficient to penetrate all three reservoir objectives, namely the Azile, Cap Lopez and the Madiela, which will allow for a complete evaluation of the resevoir's potential.

The combined potential recoverable prospective resources targeted by the well are 29-80-210 Mstb (Low-Best-High), assuming a 25% recovery factor.

The rig in use is the Transocean Jack Up Trident VIII, which has been contracted for 300 days from November 15 , when the rig began its journey from Port-Gentil.

Perenco's drilling campaign will continue with development wells on the Limande, Ompoyi, Turnix and Tchatamba fields.
