In NIS, the Serbian government today announced the results of environmental projects, strategic objectives and investment program in the field of environmental protection. On this important project, they said Kiril Kravchenko, Director General of NIS ad, and Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning.

The NIS will invest about 400 million euros in the investment program for the implementation of the strategy of environmental protection, which is 6.5 times more than the funds that were planned sales contract. In addition to environmental, NIS and will invest in infrastructure projects with environmental impact, the modernization of gas stations and energy efficiency projects that directly affect the improvement of the environment.

This year, the NIS will implement the project with the most significant environmental effect - the Pancevo Oil Refinery modernization and completion of the complex for hydrotreating and mild hydrocracking (MHC / DHT), worth 397 million euros, which will fully enable the production of Euro fuel production and process compliance with European standards in the area of environmental and industrial safety.

Modernization of gas stations to international environmental standards, which is ongoing, is also a contribution to the NIS environment. NIS in the next two and a half years to invest 100 million euros in modernization and construction of new gas stations in Serbia. In the next three years, NIS is planning a series of projects to improve technology to reduce emissions, the construction of facilities in compliance with European environmental standards and production of fuel of European quality.

Also planned is the rehabilitation of degraded land, full compliance with European regulations, with the improvement and rational use of natural resources.
