Launched a new international tender for detailed design and construction of the third tank of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) capacity of 95 thousand m 3 in the island Revythoussa 115 million budget. The third tank, which is part of the 2 nd terminal upgrade Y.F.A increases the available capacity of the cache of 130000 m station on the 3rd in two hundred and twenty-five thousand m three LNG

The design and construction will be based on the high standard adopted by DESFA on the premises. Already during the preliminary bidding process, there was interest from major international companies involved in LNG tank construction.

Soon, the coming months, will be launched work on the upgrading of port facilities on the island, to serve ships carrying capacity 260 thousand m 3 LNG, compared to 135 000 m 3 which is the current limit, the construction of necessary facilities to increase capacity of the station parocheteftikis 1,000 m from the 3rd / h at 1,400 m 3 / h, and increasing capacity of the measuring station in the Holy Trinity. The completion of these projects, expected in 2015 will further strengthen (a) the role of LNG terminal the island Revythousa as an important center for comparable services in the region of Eastern Mediterranean, (b) the level of reliability of the National Gas Transmission System, (c) the level of security of supply the country with natural gas will not contribute to the possibility of better service and TPA in the System, a cost-beneficiary, the operation of a free market, end consumers of natural gas.
