Today one hundredth billion cubic meter of gas has been produced at the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field.

“100 billion cubic meters of gas is an indicator of Severneftegazprom stability and effective performance. This result was achieved through the use of new gas production technologies, professional team work, support of the shareholders and partners. Today our goal is to preserve and enhance the gained experience,” – said Stanislav Tsygankov, Director General of Severneftegazprom.

Background

Severneftegazprom is a gas production company of Gazprom Group. The company holds the hydrocarbons exploration, development and production license for the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field located in the Krasnoselkupsky District of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tyumen Oblast. ABC1+C2 natural gas reserves of the field exceed 1 trillion cubic meters. In October 2007 the field was put into commercial production
. In August 2009 the Yuzhno-Russkoye field reached its annual design capacity of 25 billion cubic meters one year ahead of schedule. In 2012 it is planned to produce more than 26 billion cubic meters of gas at the field.

Severneftegazprom has the following shareholding structure: Gazprom – 50 per cent plus six ordinary registered shares, BASF – 25 per cent less three ordinary registered shares and plus three preference non-voting shares, E.ON – 25 per cent less three ordinary registered shares plus three preference non-voting shares.
