The production of crude oil during the month of May averaged 2,000,000 542,000 barrels per day, two thousand barrels more than the volume in the previous month. This is provided in the Petroleum Statistics published today.

With this, production during the first five months of 2012 stood at 2 million 538 thousand barrels per day, which was composed of 54.5 percent of heavy oil, light 32.8 percent and 12.7 percent of super.

By region, 74.5 percent of this production came from the Navy, 20.2 percent of the south and the remaining 5.3 percent of the north.
