CB&I (NYSE: CBI) announced today that it has been awarded a contract, valued at approximately US$300 million, by Imperial Oil Resources Ventures Ltd. for work on the Kearl Expansion Project in Alberta, Canada.

CB&I’s project scope for this phase of the work includes procurement, module assembly at CB&I’s Fort Saskatchewan facilities, and construction and installation of modular components at the site.

“This award builds on our EPC contracts for the Kearl Initial Development and Kearl Expansion projects, which we began work on in early 2008,” said Philip K. Asherman, CB&I President and CEO. “We are very pleased to be awarded this additional work and believe this reflects the client’s continued confidence in our capabilities and the quality of work we have provided on the projects to date.”
