In June 2012, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the China National Offshore Oil Corporation construction of the Shenzhen Diefu LNG project.

The construction scale of the project is 4 million tons / year, building four 160,000 m3 LNG storage tanks and supporting gasification facilities; the construction of a 8-26.6 million cubic meters of LNG ship loading and unloading berths and terminal water intake and outfall.

Of shareholders of the project and the funding ratio: 70% of CNOOC Gas & Power Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd. 30%.
