Leading international oilfield service company Expro announces today that it has secured four significant subsea completion landing string contracts in its Europe CIS region for work in 2012, 2013 and beyond.

More than $25million worth of new subsea business has been secured in Norway with various key existing and new customers.
Expro’s market-leading subsea safety systems provide reliable and efficient in-riser landing strings for well interventions and completions. Expro is already well established in the deepwater regions of the world, including Africa, Gulf of Mexico and Brazil, with its superior technology and expertise in greater demand as development progresses in the world’s deepwater provinces.

Expro’s subsea director, Colin Mackenzie, said: “We have seen strengthening demand for our subsea safety systems across all our operating regions. The European region is often the first to take advantage of the industry upturn with the focus on smaller fast track subsea projects.

“We are continuing to invest in this core business, which will ensure we maintain our position as market leader in subsea landing strings. Our latest generation of Expro Landing String Assembly (ELSA) valves and Express control systems provide our customers with the highest levels of well integrity when commissioning subsea wells.”

Expro will supply and deploy its latest generation 7 3/8” completion landing string systems for these contracts. This system is a result of a significant investment with a design and qualification program incorporating enhancements and features that meet the requirements of the latest industry standards. This investment further enhances Expro’s strong relationship with its subsea client-base in Norway which demands subsea safety systems with the highest specifications.
