Group President Corral Holding AB and Board of SAMIR, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi has arrived in Morocco, July 4, 2012, for a working visit in order to express its support and contribution to outcome of various strategic projects underway.

In this regard, dated Thursday, July 5, 2012, Corral Group Chairman, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Jamal BA-AMER, CEO of SAMIR, met M.Nizar BARAKA, Minister Economy and Finance at the headquarters of his ministry in Rabat and representatives of Attijariwafa Bank and Banque Centrale Populaire, the latter's office in Casablanca, directed by Mohamed Benchaaboun, President of the BCP.

Both meetings were held in a climate of mutual understanding during which President Corral Group reaffirmed its commitment to its investments in Morocco and its intention to develop and spread to other sectors.

July 09, 2012, the Group Chairman Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi has visited the Mohammedia refinery, to inquire about the status of start-up operations of the new distillation unit, the Topping 4 , an operational capacity of 4 million tonnes. This project, whose budget amounts to 1.7 billion dirhams, will the total annual capacity of the Mohammedia refinery to 10 million tonnes with a marked improvement in profitability.

Indeed, this unit will allow, SAMIR, to the domestic market, a million tons of additional Diesel 50 ppm, to better meet the demands of ONE special fuel oil and export to Europe, jet fuel Jet A1 and the Virgin Naphtha which falls within the petrochemical industry.

This new unit is the last link of the modernization of the Mohammedia refinery, with a total budget of $ 2.3 billion, has raised SAMIR among the most modern refineries in the Mediterranean region and Africa through the introduction of new technologies and refining hydrocraking, for the production of clean fuels comply with international standards.

After this visit, President of the Group wished to thank the Authorities and the partners of SAMIR. He also praised the dedication and professionalism of managers and all employees of the company, for the success of projects of the company.
