Rosneft and E.ON Russia have signed an agreement on the supply of 4.65 bcm of gas to Surgutskaya GRES-2, an E.ON Russia subsidiary, in the period 2013-2015.

Surgutskaya GRES-2, the largest power station and gas consumer in the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district, is located very close to Rosneft’s gas production facilities and demonstrates minimal seasonal variation in gas demand throughout the year.

The conclusion of this agreement means Rosneft also has the possibility to supply gas to E.ON Russia’s other gas consuming facilities, which will help further boost the efficiency of gas sales to end consumers as part of Rosneft’s gas program.
