Det norske oljeselskap ASA, as a partner in PL554 (20 percent), confirms that the well 34/6-2s on the Garantiana prospect has reached a total depth of 4050m TVD in the Triassic Lunde Fm.

The well penetrated an Jurassic oil-bearing Cook formation with good reservoir quality. No oil-water contact was encountered. However preliminary results show an oil rate of around 4,000 bb per day through a 28/64" choke.

Dependant on available rig days, a sidetrack down flank of the structure is being evaluated in order to define the oil water contact. Resource volume estimates are pending further analyses of the results.
