We are pleased to confirm the discovery of a new oil accumulation by well 211/21-N94, known as the Contender prospect, in the UK Northern North Sea Block 211/22a, in which Dana is a 20% equity holder.

The well was drilled by TAQA Bratani from its North Cormorant platform and the field is expected to be developed under the new field name ‘Cormorant East’.

Production will be processed through the North Cormorant platform. The target for the well was located in the Jurassic Brent sandstones to the North East of the Cormorant North field and encountered an oil accumulation that is expected to correspond to 10-30 million barrels of oil in place.
