On 29th October, a new well, M21 was spudded at M-site using the B92 Rig. This will be the first drilling from surface at Wytch Farm since 2007. The target is the Frome oil reservoir with initial rate production expected to be 550 bopd.

In addition, horizontal directional drilling started 19th October under Poole harbour as part of a project to replace the 8 inch water injection line between F-site on the Goathorn peninsula and Furzey Island. Drilling is over 1.2 km, at an average depth of 35 m using a technique that is designed to have minimal impact on the environment. Water injection on Furzey Island is very important for effective production from the Sherwood oil reservoir.

Both projects are the illustration of Perenco UK commitment in increasing production through adequate investment in Wytch Farm.
