Aker Solutions has been selected as the provider of detail engineering and hook-up services for the Dagny platform in North Sea, Statoil, the operator of the field, has confirmed today.

Aker Solutions is discussing with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering the final terms of a sub-contract to provide detail engineering for the production platform on Statoil's Dagny field. Through a separate sub-contract, the company will also perform the offshore hook-up of the 17 500-tonne platform in the North Sea. When finalised, the sub-contracts are expected to represent approximately NOK 1.4 billion in revenues for Aker Solutions.

The detail engineering services will mainly be delivered from Aker Solutions' office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with support from personnel experienced in NCS developments in Aker Solutions.

The offshore hook-up will be performed by Aker Solutions' specialists in Norway. The hook-up is scheduled to take place in 2016.
