regular production meeting with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, for the construction of TANECO refinery and petrochemical plant complex was held in Nizhnekamsk on October 10, 2010.

Before the meeting the President accompanied by Sh.F. Takhautdinov, General Director of OAO TATNEFT, examined the complex of CDU / VDU-7 installations, familiarized with the progress of operations at the hydrocracking unit, which is a stage of the crude oil deeper conversion, and visited off-site and auxiliary infrastructure facilities.

The construction people reported at the meeting about the completion, as provided for in the schedule, of first stage of the construction of TANECO refinery and petrochemical plant complex and transferring it for comprehensive testing of the equipment. It was noted that this had been achieved as a result of professional and well coordinated work of TATNEFT Company, VNIPIneft Institute, which is General Designer of the project, as well as OOO Neftegazengineering of Kamaglavstroy Management Company, General Contractor of the project and its subcontractors.

There are 9,200 people and 800 units of construction equipment involved at the construction site of the Complex today. Financing has amounted to over 170 billion rubles (including VAT) since the beginning of the project implementation.

Supply of technical river water to the internal networks of the Complex site started in May 2010. Simultaneously the design power supply was provided and all this contributed to the beginning of commissioning and start-up operations. With participation of R.N. Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, a number of Ist phase facilities were put into operation in August: a compressor facility in the nitrogen and compressed air production shop, the second cooling system of water block No. 1, and also the design voltage was fed to the TANECO treatment facilities.

Currently, a range of works providing for activities to begin operation of the first phase of TANECO Complex are on the way. More than 1600 job positions have been created for this purpose.
