JP Energy Development, an affiliate of JP Energy Partners, today announced that it is holding an open season for its previously announced Kansas Express Pipeline.

The Kansas Express is a new interstate crude oil pipeline, to be built in phases, which will provide transportation from Coldwater, Kansas to Cushing, Oklahoma. Future phases of the project are expected to extend the pipeline north to Gove County, Kansas and east to Kingman County, Kansas. The Kansas Express is expected to be in service during the fourth quarter of 2013.

The open season process provides potential shippers with the opportunity to make either volume commitments or acreage dedications and execute long-term transportation services agreements with JP Energy in exchange for transportation service at discounted rates on both the initial phase and future phases. The open season will conclude on March 29, 2013.
