On the 10th of September 2013, KANFA Group signed a Letter of Agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industry Co. for the delivery of a new Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) for the Aasta Hansteen SPAR platform to be operated in the Norwegian Sea by Statoil.

The VRU consist of an oil-injected screw compressor with lube-oil system. The scope of supply includes design, manufacture, testing, inspection, packing, mechanical completion, preservation and documentation fully compliant with NORSOK and Statoil specification. KANFA is very proud to announce this second unit awarded for Statoil's Aasta Hansteen Project.

The SPAR platform, when completed in 2017, will be the largest of its kind with the capacity to produce 812 million cubic feet of gas per day.
