South Oil Company Extend the Operation Contract of SPM Terminals For One More Year

Mr. Deiaa G. Sufar the director general of the South Oil Company (SOC) announced for the extension of the contract with Petrofac Company that was signed in the last year to operate and maintain the floating terminals SPM for one more year, which will give SOC the stability in the operation process because Petrofac has specialized staff with good expertise and knowledge in this field.
While it is worthy to mention that, the signature was made after gaining the approval from the ministry of oil.

The contract extension contained the agreement to add more items to operate two more new terminals so that Petrofac will operate the second phase which contains the SPM1 & SPM5 in the next few months.

It is worthy to mention that, Petrofac installed and maintained the SPM & SPM3 since the last year and these two floating terminals exported about 240 million barrels.
