CB&I (NYSE:CBI) today announced it has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $40 million by Coffeyville Resources Refining & Marketing LLC. The project scope includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction of a 22 million standard cubic feet per day hydrogen plant at its refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas.

"This plant will supply high-purity hydrogen for the refinery's hydroprocessing needs," said Daniel McCarthy, President of CB&I's Technology operating group. "The plant will utilize our proprietary HYFORMING™ box furnace technology for steam methane reforming, which provides superior process performance and reliable operation. CB&I's expertise in modular fabrication and supply will help us meet the deadline for this project."
