The Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Dr. Abdelkader Amara, held a press conference on Tuesday, December 16 at 10 am at the Ministry, to present the national roadmap for the implementation of the development project of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Reporting of strategic importance for Morocco's energy future, this project is in the development of the electricity mix based on reliable, flexible and effective technologies to support the rise of the power generation capacity National renewable sources and respond primarily to the growing needs of energy consumption.

The Jorf Lasfar LNG project aims to achieve the basic infrastructure needed to receive liquefied natural gas, regasification, transportation and use in power generation and industry.
