Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA) reports that at 1:15 pm on Wednesday 2 March, it caused a small fire in the pump room of the plant dewaxing Cardon refinery, part of the Paraguana Refining Center, Falcon State.

The event caused no injuries or damage to the environment by the timely intervention by staff who attended the contingency, led by the superintendent of the Emergency Prevention and Control.

As part of the safety and security measures, the plant was halted in order to protect staff and facilities. After the evaluation of the multidisciplinary team that investigates the causes of the event, will proceed with the boot protocol provided insurance plan for these cases.

PDVSA guarantees the fulfillment of their commitments, both domestically and internationally, because it has sufficient inventory of products. The Paraguana Refining Center ensures the reliability of its operations.
