Saras is deeply saddened to inform you that yesterday evening a tragic event took place at the DEA3 unit of the Sarroch refinery. This unit was idle for scheduledmaintenance.

The incident involved three workers from the contracting company Star Service S.r.l., one of which, Pierpaolo Pulvirenti, died in the early hours of this morning. A second worker, Gabriele Serrano is currently in reserved prognosis, while the conditions of the third worker, Luigi Catania, at the moment do not seem to be particularly critical.

Both Saras and the relevant Authorities are currently investigating the dynamics and the causes ofthe incident.

The Chairman, the CEO and the Company’s management are close to the families, and participate in the mourning with the Pulvirenti family.
