The inauguration ceremony of a 10Mt/a refining plant at PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical was held in the Qinzhou city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on September 8, 2010.

Foundation laid of the China-Russia joint venture refinery in Tianjin
On September 21, the foundation-laying ceremony of the China-Russia joint venture 13Mt/a refinery was held at Tianjin's Binhai New Area. The State Council vice Premier Wang Qishan and Russia vice Premier Igor Sechin delivered speeches at the ceremony respectively and laid the foundation for the project.

GDF SUEZ will supply 2.5 million tons of LNG to Kogas, the largest importer of LNG in the world
GDF SUEZ and Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas), the South Korean public natural gas company, have concluded a medium term agreement for the delivery of 41 cargoes of LNG to Kogas. The delivery will start on the fourth quarter of 2010 and continue until 2013. Overall volume will reach approximately 2.5 million tons of LNG.

Technip awarded Subsea contract for Total Islay in the North Sea
Technip has been awarded a contract, worth approximately €70 million, by Total E&P UK Limited, as operator of the Islay Gas Field, to deliver a full EPCI(1) project in the UK North Sea. The Islay field is located in the North Sea, 440 kilometres north-east of Aberdeen, in 120 metres of water depth.

Gazprom and CNPC sign Extended Major Terms of Gas Supply from Russia to China
