SNC-Lavalin Awarded Contract With Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Oil Operations
SNC-Lavalin Inc. (TSX: SNC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), to provide a front-end engineering design (FEED) study for Phase 2 of the Qusahwira Oil Field (additional 25 thousand barrels of oil per day of production).

The Qusahwira Oil Field is located approximately 260 kilometers south of Abu Dhabi and covers an area of 7,525 square kilometers. It is part of the South East Asset, which contributes approximately one-third of ADCO’s daily production. The development of Qusahwira is part of ADCO’s strategy to increase crude oil production by 2017.

Work has begun at SNC-Lavalin’s offices in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Toronto.

ADNOC selects Shell to develop Bab Sour Gas project in Abu Dhabi
Shell has been chosen by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to participate in a 30-year joint venture (JV) to develop the major Bab sour gas reservoirs in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Shell will hold a 40% equity stake in the JV, with ADNOC holding 60%.

Occidental to Join ADNOC in Developing Giant Shah Gas Field in the UAE
Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:OXY) announced today it has been selected by the Government of Abu Dhabi to participate in the development of Abu Dhabi’s Shah gas field, one of the largest gas fields in the Middle East. Under the terms of the new agreement in principle, Oxy will hold a 40-percent participating interest in a 30-year contract. The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) holds the remaining 60-percent interest.
