Anadarko Announces Discovery Offshore Mozambique
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced the latest in a string of major deepwater natural gas discoveries off the coast of Mozambique. The Tubarao discovery well encountered more than 110 net feet (34 meters) of natural gas pay and no water in a high-quality Eocene-age reservoir that is separate and distinct from the hydrocarbon accumulations in Anadarko's three previous discoveries in the Offshore Area 1 of the Rovuma Basin.

Africa Oil Closes Farmout With Tullow Oil on Blocks 10A and 10BB and Signs Farmout Agreement for Blocks 12A and 13T
Africa Oil Corp. ("Africa Oil" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AOI)(OMX:AOI) is pleased to announce that it has now closed on three blocks out of the previously announced five block farmout transaction with Tullow Oil plc ("Tullow"). To date, the Company and Tullow have closed farmouts related to the South Omo Block (Ethiopia) and Blocks 10BB and 10A (Kenya). Tullow will assume the role of operator of these blocks. The previously announced amendment to the Company's existing farmout agreement with Lion Energy Corp. ("Lion") has also closed. The resulting interests in the three blocks, subject to the Tullow farmout and Lion amending agreements, are as follows:

Eni awarded operatorship of Block 35 in deepwater offshore Angola
Eni announces today that it has been awarded participation and operatorship of Block 35 by the Angolan Juri for the bid round, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Petroleum, Sonangol and the Ministry of Finance. The block is located in deepwater offshore Angola, 150 km off the coast of Luanda. Block 35 covers 4.831 square km of potential pre-salt mining acreage.

Statoil identified for pre-salt operatorships in Angola
The national oil company Sonangol has publicly announced that the Angolan jury of the bid rounds has elected Statoil for operatorship and participation in several pre-salt blocks offshore Angola.
Statoil has submitted its proposal as part of the pre-salt restricted public bid round organised by Sonangol for access to pre-salt acreage in the Kwanza Basin in Angola. Statoil’s proposal includes operatorship of Blocks 38 and 39 and participation in Blocks 22, 25 and 40 with a comprehensive work program and a signature bonus for each block.

New Discoveries in the Moho-Bilondo License in the Republic of the Congo
Total announces discoveries from the Bilondo Marine 2 and 3 wells (BILDM-2 and BILDM-3), drilled in a water depth of 800 metres in the central area of the Moho-Bilondo license, approximately 70 kilometres offshore the Republic of the Congo. They follow the successful exploration wells Moho Nord Marine 1 and 2 drilled in 2007.
