Total Awards $80 Million Subsea Production System Option 3 of Girassol Resource Initiative to FMC Technologies
FMC Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FTI) announced today that it has signed an agreement (Option 3 - Girassol Infills) with Total Exploration & Production Angola for the manufacture and supply of subsea production equipment to support the Girassol Resource Initiative (GirRI) project. The award has a value of approximately $80 million in revenue to FMC Technologies. The GirRI project has now reached a cumulative value of approximately $180 million in revenue to FMC.

FPSO installation deal to Aker Solutions
MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte Ltd. has awarded Aker Solutions' wholly-owned subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors a mooring installation contract for hook-up of the Bourgogne FPSO offshore Angola. Contract value is approximately USD 30 million.

Anadarko Announces Major Discovery Offshore Mozambique
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced its third major natural gas discovery this year in the Offshore Area 1 of Mozambique's Rovuma Basin at the Lagosta prospect. The discovery well encountered a total of more than 550 net feet of natural gas pay in multiple high-quality Oligocene and Eocene sands.

Perenco Offshore Drilling Campaign in Gabon

Oil discovery in the Mercury-1 exploration well offshore Sierra Leone
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced the Mercury-1 exploration well offshore Sierra Leone encountered approximately 135 net feet of oil pay in two Cretaceous-age fan systems. Mercury is the company's second deepwater test in the Sierra Leone-Liberian Basin and was drilled to a total depth of approximately 15,950 feet in about 5,250 feet of water.

Total agrees to sell to Perenco its exploration and production interest in Cameroon
Total announces having finalized an agreement in principle with Perenco, an independent exploration and production French company, to sell its 75.8% equity in its upstream affiliate Total E&P Cameroun, a Cameroonian company which other shareholders include the national oil company – SNH (Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures – 20%) and Paris Orléans – Groupe Rotchshild (4.2%). This agreement is subject to the Cameroonian Authorities’ approval.

Bowleven Two Potentially Significant Discoveries, Offshore Cameroon
Bowleven, the West Africa focused oil and gas exploration group listed on AIM, announces that the Sapele-1 exploration well drilling in the Douala Basin, offshore Cameroon has made two potentially significant hydrocarbon discoveries in Miocene reservoirs based on the results of drilling and initial wireline logs and pressure data. The first discovery, Lower Omicron, encountered light oil/gas condensate in moderate quality reservoir units. The second, Deep Omicron, encountered oil in high quality sands. This well was designed to intersect multiple stacked objectives through Miocene and Cretaceous horizons. As a result, it is believed to have penetrated the extremities of both Miocene prospects at sub-optimal locations.

KBR to Execute Topsides Detailed Design for TOTAL's CLOV FPSO
KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to execute the topsides detailed design for TOTAL's CLOV floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit. This project is the fourth development pole in Angola's deep offshore Block 17, after Girassol, Dalia and Pazflor. Located approximately 140 kilometres from Luanda and 40 kilometres northwest of Dalia in water depths ranging from 1,100 to 1,400 metres, the CLOV development will lead to four fields - Cravo, Lirio, Orquidea and Violeta - coming on stream.
