Angolan shipyard Paenal celebrates the arrival of N’Goma FPSO
Following a voyage of 7,331 miles (13,577km), N’Goma FPSO safely berthed at Paenal’s 490-metre quayside at Port Amboim on 17th June 2014. The arrival of the vessel in Angola from Singapore marks the young yard’s second mega FPSO in just eight months.

CLOV Start Up In Angola: Total Increases Block 17 Production To 700,000 Barrels Per Day
Total, operator of Block 17 in Angola, today started up CLOV, a major deep offshore development located 140 kilometers offshore Luanda, in line with the initial project schedule. With a production capacity of 160,000 barrels per day, CLOV will develop proven and probable reserves of over 500 million barrels. After Girassol, Dalia and Pazflor, CLOV is the fourth Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit on Block 17.

Angola LNG suspended production
The liquefaction of natural gas from Angola LNG consortium announced the suspension of production for a year, due to a succession of technical problems, such as the sinking of a platform, fires and leaks, the latter of which a break in a cable.

Portfolio adjustment in Angola
Statoil is divesting its 5% participating interest in the ENI-operated block 15/06 offshore Angola to the concessionaire Sonangol E.P.
The transaction, subject to customary closing conditions, includes a consideration of USD 200 million and an effective date of 1 January 2013.

Technip wins umbilical contract for Kaombo project in Angola
Technip announces that a consortium composed of Angoflex Ltda(1) (owned jointly with Sonangol) and DUCO Ltd(2), has been awarded a large(3) lump-sum contract by Total E&P Angola. The contract consists of the umbilical system part of the Kaombo project, located in Block 32 offshore Angola in water depths up to 2,000 meters.

Technip Heerema Alliance wins major Kaombo subsea contract offshore Angola
The consortium, comprising Technip and Heerema Marine Contractors (Heerema), was awarded a major lump-sum contract by Total E&P Angola for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation (EPCI) and pre-commissioning for the SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines) part of the [ http://abarrelfull.wikidot.com/kaombo-oil-and-gas-fields Kaombo project], located in Block 32 offshore Angola in water depths up to 2,000 meters. The contract is valued at approximately USD 3.5 billion with a Technip share of around 55% and a Heerema share of around 45%.

Sanction of Kaombo project in Block 32 in Angola ultra-deep offshore
Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for the exploration of Block 32 located in ultra-deep offshore of Angola, announces that the consortium has made the final investment decision to develop the Kaombo project. The project is expected to have a production capacity of 230,000 barrels per day and to develop estimated reserves of 650 million barrels.
