KBR Awarded FEED for Topsides and Hull for FPSO Offshore Angola
KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that it has been awarded a FEED contract to perform work for the topsides and hull associated with a new-build, double-sided, single-bottom hull Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The FPSO will be located offshore Angola and FEED is scheduled to start immediately, with a duration of 12 months.

Chevron Sanctions the Lianzi Project Offshore Angola and the Republic of Congo
Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) announced that its subsidiary will proceed with the development of the Lianzi field located in a unitized offshore zone between the Republic of Congo and the Republic of Angola.

-Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited (Esso Angola), has started production from the Kizomba Satellites Phase 1 project offshore Angola.

Cobalt International Energy, Inc. Provides Update on its Gulf of Mexico and West Africa Drilling Operations
Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (“Cobalt”) (NYSE:CIE) today announced that its Ligurian #2 exploratory well on Green Canyon Block 814 in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico had reached objective total depth after having drilled through all of the targeted Miocene formations. The well did not encounter commercial hydrocarbons and operations are underway to plug and abandon the wellbore.

Angola LNG Plant Ensuring Gas Supply through GE Service Agreement
Angola LNG, operator of one of the world’s most modern LNG and processing facilities in Soyo, Zaire Province in Angola, and GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) have signed a long-term contractual service agreement (CSA) designed to increase overall plant efficiency and provide maximum availability for the key gas compression equipment. GE announced the agreement today at World Gas Conference 2012 in Kuala Lumpur.

Total awards subsea contract to Aker Solutions
Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by Total E&P Angola, to deliver seven new subsea tree systems to the Dalia field located offshore Angola. Contract value is approximately NOK 470 million.

Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (―Cobalt‖) (NYSE:CIE) today provided additional data confirming the significance of its Cameia Pre-salt oil discovery in Block 21 offshore Angola.

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA : PGS Starts 26 000 km² MC3D Survey - offshore Angola
The Ramform Valiant, a seismic vessel owned and operated by Petroleum Geo-Services ASA, has started acquisition of over 26,000 km² of GeoStreamer® data in five blocks in the Kwanza/Benguela Basins in Angola. The size of the survey area corresponds to an area slightly larger than Massachusetts or Wales. Following the block awards made on December 20th, BP, Total and Statoil have been made operators of blocks 24, 25, 38, 39 and 40. Sonangol is a partner in all of the blocks.

Speeding up decision making
All four oil companies have committed to funding the survey.
With early access to 3D seismic data based on the most advanced seismic technology, the operators will benefit from clearer images and more time to plan the exploration wells that they are committed to drill within the next five years.

Maersk Oil strikes oil with its first pre-salt well in Angola
Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola Empresa Pública (Sonangol, E.P.), Maersk Oil and other partners declared the Azul-1 deepwater exploration well, located in Block 23 in the Kwanza Basin, a discovery well.

Oceaneering Announces BP Angola Contract
Oceaneering International, Inc. (NYSE:OII) announced that it has secured a three-year Field Support Vessel Services contract from BP p.l.c. (NYSE:BP). Oceaneering will provide project management, engineering, and vessel services offshore Angola on Blocks 18 and 31, commencing February 1, 2012. The contract provides for two option periods of one year each, exercisable by BP.
