Apache's Zola-1 Natural Gas Discovery Logs 410 Feet of Pay Offshore Western Australia
Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) today announced that its subsidiary's Zola-1 discovery in license WA-290-P, offshore Western Australia, logged 410 feet of net pay in three Triassic Mungaroo sands over a depth range of 13,450-15,100 feet below sea level. Logging tools and formation pressure tests confirmed at least two separate natural gas columns with excellent reservoir characteristics.

Encana to acquire 30 percent interest in proposed Kitimat, B.C. liquefied natural gas export development
Encana Corporation (TSX, NYSE: ECA) has agreed to acquire a 30 percent interest in the planned Kitimat liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal, located on the west coast of central British Columbia, and the associated natural gas pipeline. This proposed Kitimat LNG export development is intended to open tremendous new market opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region for abundant supplies of Canadian natural gas.

KITIMAT LNG PARTNERS AWARD KBR THE FEED CONTRACT FOR LNG PROJECT
Kitimat LNG partners Apache Canada Ltd. (Apache Canada) and EOG Resources Canada Inc. (EOG Canada) today announced they have awarded KBR the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract for the planned natural gas liquefaction and export facility on British Columbia’s west coast. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Apache Commences Production From Balboa (East Breaks 597), Its First Operated Deepwater Development in the Gulf of Mexico
Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) today announced that hydrocarbon production has begun at its Balboa Field, located on East Breaks Block 597. Initial gross flow rates have stabilized at approximately 30 million cubic feet of natural gas and 1,400 barrels of oil per day.
